Detrol medication decreases bladder muscles and spasms and helps in treating overactive bladder symptoms. Some of the major symptoms related to Detrol are incontinence, urgency and frequent urination. The generic name of this medication is tolterodine tartrate and it comes in tablet form. Tolterodine tartrate is a crystalline powder that is white in color and some of the active ingriedents of Detrol are colloidal anhydrous silica, calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, cellulose microcrystalline, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, and titanium dioxide.

Side Effects of Detrol:

You need an emergency medical assistance, if you get the signs of facial swelling, and breathing problems. Some of the major side effects of Detrol are chest pain, irregular heartbeat, confusion, hallucinations, less urination, problems while urinating, dizziness, blurred vision, dry eyes, dry mouth and others. If you get any of these side effects, you should stop taking this medication and consult your doctor immediately.
