Desktop Email ClientsDesktop Email Clients are third party software packages that allow you to access your email. This software may be more robust than web based email and offer features that you can access faster than through a web based client. Because email software is proprietary, you can quickly click to open the application and have a list of emails open for you almost instantaneously. Where-as, web based email will require you to open a browser window, navigate to your email website and login to that site. Each has it's pro's and con's and many people find using both methods to be most effective. There are many popular email software packages available however Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail take up the majority of the marketshare. Useful Links
